Carlos had the second part of his left arm nerve transfer surgery today. The first part of the surgery was last Friday (January 19, 2024). The surgeon was very happy with how the surgery went. Carlos had his right arm operated on in early December. The foundation of the surgery is to remove good/active nerves from his shoulder/upper back area and transfer them to his elbow and forearm to gain more functionality in his hands. The procedure can take 6 months to a year to fully see the results. Carlos is resting comfortably tonight at his house in Miami.

It is anticipated that Carlos will be in Miami for at least another 6 months. He continues to get stronger each day through his PT/OT at the Christine Lynn Rehab Center, along with PT with the Miami Project. Carlos has been surrounded by different family members who rotate in and out of Miami.

Carlos is in good spirits and could not be more appreciative of the continuous support and prayers.
