Hello-

We want to thank you all for your continued and unwavering love and support that you have showed for Carlos and his family. It means so much to him and to us and we are overwhelmed by your generosity.

As of this morning, Carlos is still in the ICU but if vitals remain good he will be moved into a regular room. He’s only in the ICU still so they can keep his blood pressure high to help heal the surgery wound. The doctors and surgeon are very happy with his progress.

After a few days Carlos will be moved to a rehabilitation facility where Carlos will continue his road to recovery.

Carlos had a good evening with one of our favorite nurses. Carlos slept for almost 5 hours uninterrupted overnight, by far the longest, and best sleep so far.

We were finally able to get one of Carlos’ phones and his good friend Rusty read him about 100 text messages from friends and colleagues. One message in particular, spoke about Carlos’ friend’s three year old son praying for Carlos while alone in his bed and it was powerful! You all have really given him strength. We had a great talk last night about what lies ahead and how we (all of us) are gonna to attack it. Our Carlos is ready for the fight and will lean on each and every one of us. Keep the love and prayers coming, they’re working.
